Saving the orangutan in Borneo.
After witnessing the plight of the orangutans over twenty years ago, Lone Dröscher-Nielsen promised she would be their voice in the world. And so, she resigned from her job as a flight attendant and sold all her possessions to dedicate her life to save the orangutans and their forest home. In an interview with ABC Radio, Lone said: “I’m a pragmatic Dane. I want orangutans to live as wild animals. That’s why we take them in the first place. To put them back where they actually came from.”
The starting point for the identity was the distinguishing feature of the male orangutan: the cheekpads. Seen from the front, they look like a particular letter O. The client loved the idea.
